The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria will face hosts Niger in the semi-final of the WAFU B 2019 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tournament on Thursday. The Golden Eaglets emerged Group B winners following Cote d’l voire’s 3-0 win against Burkina Faso on Sunday.
Manu Garba’s men lost their first game 3-2 to Burkina Faso but won the second game 5-1 against Cote d’l voire to top group B with goal difference as all members of the group finished with 3 points each.
Ghana secured top spot in Group A after beating Togo 2-1 on Sunday.
The Black Starlets who will face Cote d’l voire in the first semi-final on Wednesday, top their group with four points ahead of Niger who finished in second position with two points.
The winners of the competition will progress to the 2019 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Tanzania.
