The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike has sacked 13 out of 23 Caretaker Committee Chairmen for undisclosed reasons.
The Local Government Council affected include Degema and Etche Local Government Areas. A source close to government suggested that they may have been sacked following the expiration of their second tenure as CTC Chairmen.
The affected chairmen were instructed to handover to the head of personnel management (HPM) in their respective councils.
