” you must not leave your core mandate.  Your core mandate is to fill the potholes not to go and construct roads. Not to go and award road contract.

” it will interest you to know that the former committee went ahead and awarded contracts worth three hundred and something million and they became indebted to the point of two point something billion.

” As a sitting Governor i will not know. Infact they had to fight amongst themselves. They fixed salaries and allowances for themselves , where each member had about six hundred to seven hundred thousand naira in a month.

“Road maintenance is not for construction of Roads. You have monthly subvention of N100 million. So there is no way you can allow potholes to remain” he warned.
