Tonye Cole’s emergence is a boost for APC ~ Dave Okumgba

Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have been reminded of the need for all and sundry to galvanise their support for the candidature of Tonye Cole.

In an exclusive chat with Africa Update, South South APC Zonal Secretary, Dave Okumgba, emphasized that the decision by stakeholders loyal to the leadership of the South South APC Leader and Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, to throw their weight behind the billionaire business mogul, Cole, is timely and commendable.

Stating that a candidate such as Cole, who has vast administrative experience is what is needed to unseat the Nyesom Wike led state government which according to Dave,  lacks direction and capacity to provide the required infrastructural and policy development for the state.

He reiterated that despite efforts by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and some disgruntled members of APC to sabotage the candidature of Cole, he noted that his (Cole’s) emergence is a boost for APC.

He urged members of the party to set aside personal grievances and interests and accept the emergence of Cole as an act of God and further observed that if efforts are galvanised, Cole will emerge victorious during the party primaries and that will ensure the defeat of Wike come 2019.

Dave commended leaders of the Party from the various local government areas for their commitment and support for the leadership of the Minister of Transportation.
