Sam Agwor shares his vision for Rivers State

Governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, in Rivers State, Surv. Sam Agwor, during a media chat in Port Harcourt on Friday December 9th, shared his vision for the state if he wins the Governorship election during the 2023 general elections.

When asked why he thinks he is the best man for the job, he said “I have been around for a while, I have been part of the emergence of governors. I have seen them perform and been a critic from the side-lines. I have seen what they have done rightly and what they have not done. So if I put all that together, I am sure I will be able to come up with policies that would be appreciated by Rivers people”.

He further unveiled his plans for the entertainment sector, commerce, civil service, women, traditional rulers, youths etc. Stating that his government would carry everyone along with policies such as increase in minimum wage, scholarship programs/bursary payment, scholarships and construction of institutions for gifted students, provision of grants for small businesses, fight against banditry, payment of pension, and investment in advanced technology to fight insecurity.

Agwor is a native of Obakiri in Emohua Local Government Area, Rivers State. A surveyor by profession with a doctorate in view. He served as State Chairman SDP during Ada-George’s government, then as Special Adviser during Odili’s administration, a position he held in three consecutive times. He was in charge of the Public/Private Partnership during Amaechi’s administration, Chairman of the Road Maintenance Agency during Wike’s administration,
