Deputy Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Rivers State , Hon Chukwuemeka Aaron has said that contrary to speculations in some quarters, former Governor Nyesom Wike will not leave the PDP to any other party.
Speaking during a biweekly prayer and worship session tagged “One hour with Jesus at the party secretariat, in Port Harcourt on Monday, Hon Aaron disclosed that those professing doom for the PDP in the state would be disappointed.
He urged party loyalists to remain steadfast and ignore the lies being peddled about the Former Governor, now FCT Minister.
“I want to tell our people to remain steadfast because for people telling you that our leader, Nyesom Wike is leaving PDP is not true. Nyesom Wike is not leaving PDP. If anybody tells you that tell them that it is not true. That I told you that he is not leaving PDP. Rivers State is PDP and will remain PDP. The Governor of Rivers State is PDP, the 3 Senators are PDP, out of 13 House of Reps members, 11 are PDP, House of Assembly all are PDP. So we are not going anywhere”, he stated.
He commended staff and others who have been worshipping at the Secretariat, saying that their prayers have kept the party stronger and also enabled it to produce the desired results.
“The prayers from this alter is working wonders for the party. Most of the judgements that were delivered were in our favor. We believe that the remaining ones will also be in our favor because we won the elections. The elections were free and fair. Those who went to court to challenge our victory will all fall because we campaigned, went round the whole LGAs and when the election came PDP won “.
The PDP Deputy Chairman who also spoke on the visit by leaders of the State to the Aso Villa, Abuja, explained that the visit was to thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment of Rivers sons into different positions of trust in his administration, particularly, former Governor Nyesom Wike as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
In his exhortation, The member representing Etche state Constituency 2, Ignatius Onwuka admonished christians to always exhibit the virtue of obedience, saying that Adam’s disobedience to God is the root cause of man’s sufferings on earth.
