The ousted Caretaker Committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State, Hon. Igo Aguma has petitioned the Chairman of the National Caretaker Committee, of the party, Mai Bala Buni, requesting for urgent intervention into the crises rocking the party in the state.
Aguma, stressed the need for the setting up of an independent committee to tackle the issues of factionalisation of the party in the state. Aguma in a statement in Port Harcourt on Saturday also noted that the leadership of the party were also requested to in the same vein open a new office in the state so that all the factions could meet at ease.
Aguma expressed dismay that despite the ruling of Justice Omereji, which pronounced him Chairman, an Appeal has been filed contrary to the directives of President Muhammadu Buhari, that all litigations in Court should be withdrawn.
