APC South South Zonal Secretary, Hon. David Okumgba and Rivers State APC Chairman, Hon. Ojukaye Flag-Amachree, have met with coordinators of different Non Governmental Organisations, NGOs, garnering support for the candidates of the party in the State.
The meeting which took place on November 19, at the South South zonal Secretariat, had over 40 NGOs in attendance.
Speaking on the recent policy of the party to properly streamline activities of NGOs operating in the state, Amachree, notified representatives of NGOs, of the synergy between the state office and the zonal Secretariat towards ensuring that efforts of NGOs are properly harnessed.
He said the leadership of the party at the state are working hand in glove with Okumgba, to achieve success.
Earlier, Okumgba had reiterated that there is need for NGOs to adhere to the instructions handed out by the zonal Secretariat as regards their mode of operation and composition.
He said the exercise would cut across the south south zone and assured NGOs of the necessary support from the zone if they stick to the operational guidelines issued.
