Omereji commends Appeal Court ruling on Rivers LGA Elections

Chairman of Emohua Local Government Council Hon Chief David Omereji has commended the Court of Appeal for upholding the just concluded LG council elections in the state.
The Court of Appeal in Abuja nullified the Federal High Court Judgment which ruled against the recent Rivers State Local Government election.

Appeal Court held that the Federal High Court lacks the subject matter jurisdiction to entertain the 1st respondent- APC’s suit and consequently set aside the orders of the Judgment of the lower court.

Commenting on the Appeal Court ruling, David Omereji said “The pronouncement by the Appeal Court, affirming the just conducted local government election is a cheering news for the people of Rivers State and the people of Emohua in particular.
I commend the Court of Appeal for this landmark judgment. This shows that the judiciary is still the last hope of the common man”.
