Following the directives of the state government to local government councils in Rivers State, to tackle the spread of the coronavirus, the Chairman of Obio/Akpo Local Government Area, Solomon Eke, says the council authority will commence the fumigation of towns and villages in the area, from Monday.
While urging members of the public to observe personal hygiene and social distancing, he warned that those caught breaking the directives of the state government on ban on public gathering and trading in markets will face the consequences.
He urged citizens to report any violation of their human rights by the enforcement team to 07042856344.
He explained that he has asked the team to be civil while enforcing the ban on closure of market and other public places.
