The results from polling units have shown that the Peoples Democratic Party’s Governorship candidate, Godwin Obaseki, has won a return back to the government house. Results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), from 13 Local Government Areas in the Saturday’s governorship election in Edo State, indicates that Obaseki is winning so far in 11 of the 13 LGAs released.
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has won two of the LGAs announced at the commission’s collation centre in Benin, the state capital. Obaseki of the PDP has secured 243, 604 against 154,192 votes polled by the APC’s Ize-Iyamu. The Edo governor is winning with 89,412.
