Magnus Abe Restates Commitment To Work For Success Of APC

The senator representing Rivers South East Senatorial District, Senator Magnus Abe has restated his resolve and that of his supporters to work for the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in both State and National level.

Senator Abe stated this while addressing his supporters over the recent directive by the National leadership of the party that all aggrieved members should withdraw their cases in court or face sanction.

The Federal lawmaker advised his supporters to honor the invitation by the APC reconciliation committee over the crises.

He said, ” Threats could not move us. We are resolute. We are determined. We will deliver our state, we will deliver our party and by the grace of almighty God, we will not only make your old lives better but we will make Rivers State better. We will make this state an example of the fact that black people can actually run things truthfully, can actually do things based on truth and on what is right and we can only do that when we remain together, we remain committed. When we remain disciplined and most importantly, when we have faith and trust in almighty God”.

The senator representing Rivers South East Senatorial District, Senator Magnus Abe however said that the issues that led them to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the APC are still being perpetrated in the APC.

” A lot of people do not understand when they become oppressors. When they start doing the things that the oppressors where doing, they don’t know that they have become the oppressors. So, we must be very, very careful. We left the Peoples Democratic Party because of oppression. We left because of impunity. We left because people would not listen to the things we were saying were wrong. Today we are in the All Progressives Congress, a party founded on a foundation of the fact that we must do things differently but there are still some people in the party who insist on doing things even worse than the oppressors that we ran away from and I said we will sit here and resist it”, the senator stated.
