The Chairman of Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, RSIEC, Hon. Justice C.I Uriri (Rtd), has disclosed that the commission will embark on sensitization tour of 23 local government areas in the state, ahead of the proposed Local Government Council elections scheduled to hold June 16, 2018.
Africa update gathered that Traditional rulers, Chairmen and members of caretaker committees, officials from the National Orientation Agency, security operatives, market women, clergymen, Officials from the Federal Road Safety Corps and other stakeholders are expected to participate in their various local government areas of residence or operation.
This sensitization which will begin on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 and come to an end on Monday, March 26, 2018 is expected to prepare stakeholders for the proposed council election .
