Group spends N40 million, picks Nomination forms for Atiku

Barely 24 hours after the National Executive Committee, NEC of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, met to approve Electoral Guidelines for the conduct of primaries, major contenders for the Presidential ticket have started purchasing forms.

A post made on Twitter today by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, stated that the North East Business Community has thrown their weight behind the PDP Presidential hopeful, with the purchase of Expression of interest and nomination forms, which cost the group over N40million, going by various categories of fees released by the Party yesterday.

Atiku’s Tweet reads: “Moments ago, the North East Business Community (NEBC) presented me with the @OfficialPDPNig nomination and expression of interest forms. This was in fulfilment of the promise made when I visited the Jewel state of Gombe late last year.

I can never thank them enough, and I will never betray the confidence they and other people of goodwill have reposed in me.
