A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State, Victor Giadom, says a tweet alleging that he had condemned the decision of the Inspector General of Police, to deploy policemen to the hotel where the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and other Governors from PDP controlled States, were logged ahead of the Edo State Governorship election, is the handiwork of mischief makers.
In a phone chat with Africa Update, Giadom, said he has nothing to do with the tweet. Responding via Twitter, the former acting National Chairman of APC Giadom wrote: My attention has been drawn to a tweet purported to have emanated from me. Please note that this account is impersonating my person and all tweets from this account should be disregarded. This account and tweet is intended to cause mischief and should be disregarded by the public.
Meanwhile the controversial tweet read: Stopping a sitting governor like @GovWike that has immunity to move freely at least till 11.59 yesterday, should be seen as an infringement on the constitution and could be seen as a treasonable act. I am an @OfficialAPCNg chieftain and I won’t be part of illegality. https://t.co/9ULbAns8Lm
