A former Chairman of Andoni Local Government Area, in Rivers State, Emilia Nte, has been confirmed dead.
The sad incident according to sources, said the gunmen had trailed Nte,  to the  Engendem/ Asarama boundary, where she was gunned down .
Africa Update gathered that Nte and three others were on their way to the village ahead of the governorship election, when she was killed yesterday, Â March 8.
Our sources reported that the killers had ordered the three occupants to run for their lives while valuables were taken from them and the vehicle they were traveling in was vandalised.
Unconfirmed sources stated that the killing might be connected to a previous business deal executed on behalf of Nte, which had allegedly gone wrong.
