Degema people’ll judge us by our deeds in Office, says Dr. Agba Harry

••• As Ke, Bille Communities Declare Total Support For APP

Chairmanship Candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP) in Degema Local Government Area, Dr. Agiriye Agba Harry, has stated that the people of DELGA would evaluate and judge his administration, based on his performance in office as Chairman of Council.

The Chairmanship hopeful made this known, Saturday, during the party’s campaigns in the Oceania communities of Ke and Bille in Ward 17 B and Ward 16 respectively.

The orthopedic surgeon-turned politician pledged that his administration would focus on developmental projects aimed at providing social amenities, noting that; “our pregnant women would be encouraged to stop going to prayer houses, instead of health centres to give birth.

“No woman deserves to die during child delivery, due to absence of quality healthcare. Our people shall have access to quality healthcare and our children will be vaccinated to prevent deadly diseases,” the medical expert stated.

He promised to build a facility to house the power generating set in Ke and make it functional, while equally addressing the poor water situation in both Oceania communities.

Also speaking, Chairman of the APP in DELGA, Chief Johnny Collins Braide, stated that the party is the way forward for the people, urging them to support the party’s candidates in the October 5th election.

He stated that the APP represents sufficiency and prosperity for all, as symbolized by the party’s elephant logo, adding that the APP had come to revive and build a strong economy for the people.

On his part, Director-General of the campaign team and former Caretaker Committee (CTC) Chairman of the LGA, Chief Hon. Tonye Tyger, called on the people to vote for the APP, in order to be relevant in the scheme of things.

Chief Tyger asserted that the APP had come to complete the work of the PDP in the State, after the latter’s deliberate weakening and polarization by hijackers, assuring that the APP would form a government at the third tier that would bring economic prosperity to the people.

In their separate speeches, the Ke and Bille traditional institutions gave their blessings to the APP, urging the party to return the favour through the delivery of democratic dividends, when voted into office.

They enumerated some developmental challenges, facing the respective communities for the consideration of the incoming administration, assuring them of a peaceful atmosphere during the October election.
