Degema Council Chairman makes key appointments

Chairman of Degema Local Government Area, Dr. Agiriye Monima Harry, has approved the immediate appointment of some key officers, Africa Update reports

The appointment which takes immediate effect has key positions such as Chief of Staff, Council Secretary, Chief Press Secretary, Chief Security Adviser and several others listed.

The special public announcement signed by the Council Chairman also indicates that the swearing in ceremony will hold on Friday October 18th by 11am.

The public announcement reads: The Executive Chairman of Degema Local Government Area, Dr. Agiriye Monima Harry, has approved the immediate appointment of the underlisted individuals:

1) Bar. Nelly Johnbull – Council Secretary

2) Amabara Ekine- Chief of Staff

3) Chief Ibim Whyte – Chief Security Officer

4) Banimi Dawari Harry – Chief Security Adviser

5) Gloria Boma Harry – Chief Press Secretary

6) Adokiye Erekosima – Chief of Protocol

The Executive Chairman has also dissolved all previous standing committees and the affected individuals are hereby requested to handover any Council property in their possession to the Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA).

All Council workers are directed to resume for work now that the Council is open. Absentees will be sanctioned.

The above mentioned political appointees are to be sworn in at the Council Headquarters in Degema on Friday October 18th by 11am.
