Indications have emerged suggesting that the member representing Etche/ Omuma Federal Constituency in Rivers State, Ephraim Nwuzi, may forfeit his mandate if information available to Africa Update is true.
A source in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who spoke on conditions of anonymity, said, the Federal Lawmaker, had written to the PDP, notifying the party of his intention to join the All Progressives Congress, APC, oblivious of the provisions laid out for such decision to become effective and without any dire consequence, which includes the recall of such individual.
The source further stated that when Nwuzi realised the consequences of his action, he reportedly got someone at the PDP State Secretariat to smuggle out the letter he had written. This also suffered a setback, as the man was caught in the act and subsequently sacked on Thursday.
Africa Update has not been able to authenticate the claims, but if this information turns out to be correct, the process for the recall of Nwuzi might begin next week.
