Africa update just received reports about the sudden resignation of the Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Â Dr. Austin Tam-George.
Close sources revealed that Dr. Tam-George,  who did not give any reasons for his resignation  yesterday, may have done so, due to perceived conflicts between his official roles and other cronies of his principal and Governor of the state, Chief Nyesom Wike.
Unconfirmed reports alleged that the former commissioner was in the dark regarding policies of government and only knew about such, when it was already in the public domain.
The sudden resignation of the information commissioner and the sack of the commissioner for works, Bethel Harrison, within a week, Â according to sources, are clear indications that all may not be well with the Wike’s camp.
The sources further alleged that more surprises are yet to come in the coming weeks.
