* Security Operatives Should Be Professional, Act With Human Face ~ IPAC
The Inter-Party Advisory Council Of Nigeria IPAC, Rivers State Chapter has thrown its weight behind the preventive measures being taken by the Rivers State Governor, His Excellency, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike- CON, GSSRS, POS, to stop the transmission of COVID-19 within the State.Â
Speaking at the IPAC advocacy campaign on COVID-19, on April 2, in Port Harcourt, the State capital.
The IPAC Chairman in Rivers State, Hon. Chima Nsirm commended Gov. Wike for the necessary steps he has taken for Rivers residents to remain safe, and appealed to the people to fully comply with government’s directive for the good of all.Â
According to Nsirim, ” whatever decision the Governor takes, he has 100% support of IPAC in Rivers State.Â
He appealed to individuals and organisations to support the State Government in making contributions and donations to fight COVID-19 pandemic.
IPAC which is an association of the ninety one (91) registered political parties in Rivers State, admonished security Operatives to enforce government directive professionally and with human face.
On his part, the immediate past PDP state Chairman and RIWAMA boss, Bro. Felix Obuah aka Go-Round who is also a member of IPAC, described Gov. Wike as a leader of the people, who has shown leadership in governance.Â
Obuah said ” first of all, I commend our leader, the Governor of Rivers State for what he has done so far including the regular information the government is sharing daily to the public. This is leadership. Let us obey government directive or order, they are for the best interest of the State. We (IPAC) have absolute confidence in our Governor, whatever he does is always for the best interest of the State”.Â
Obuah hailed all religious leaders, organizations, students, CDC, market people, youth organizations for adhering to the directives of the state Government.Â
He thanked IPAC for organising an Advocacy Campaign to sensitise Rivers residents and urged them to keep supporting the Government.
