The Independent Electoral Commission in Rivers State, has affirmed that sensitive electoral materials for the conduct of the Port Harcourt constituency 3 State Assembly by-election, scheduled for tomorrow, are now in the custody of the commission .
Addressing newsmen, Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC in the State, Obo Efanga, said the materials were received amidst tight security on Thursday, from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.
He stated that movement will be restricted on Saturday between 8am and 6pm, within the area for the conduct of the by-election .
He urged voters to exercise their rights by participating in the election and assured them of adequate security.
Reiterating that the election would be transparent and credible.
