The Rivers State House of Assembly Complex has been demolished on the orders of the Rivers State Government Africa Update reports.
A government source said the project was being undertaken by the state government to repair the damage reportedly caused by suspected Arsonists when the edifice along Moscow Road in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area was attacked on October 29, 2023.
Africa Update gathered from reliable sources that about 10 bulldozers, excavators, and other heavy-duty machines arrived the Assembly complex as early as 5 a.m. on Wednesday.
The demolition commenced at about 7:30 a.m. As of the time of this report, the process is still ongoing.
