Breaking news: Akpabio, Amosun, Fayemi withdraw from Presidential race, declares support for Tinubu

Former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio has withdrawn from the Presidential race of the All Progressives Congress, APC. Addressing delegates at the Eagle Square in Abuja, Akpabio said he is withdrawing from the Presidential race to support the ambition of former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu.

Commending the progressive Governors from the north, for their resolve to zone the Presidency to the south, he noted that it is important for the best candidate to emerge and urged his supporters to vote for Tinubu.

Speaking immediately after Akpabio, former Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, also withdrew from the race and declared his support for Tinubu.

On his part, Governor of Ekiti State, John Olukayode Fayemi, called on his supporters to vote for Tinubu as he withdrew from the race.
