Trendsetters Awards: online voting ends, Winners emerge

Winners have emerged in all categories at the end of the voting process to determine who the Trendsetters awards recipients should be in 2022.

Making the disclosure to newsmen in Port Harcourt the Rivers State Capital yesterday, the Chief Executive Officer of the Trendsetters Awards, TSA, Amb. Gloria Boma Harry, ACE, WMGA, said the participation of voters in making the decision on who wins what, was overwhelming, as over four million votes were recorded in this year’s voting process.

Noting that since the inception of the Trendsetters Award in 2019, the organisers also witnessed increased interaction with nominees and nomination of people from other States.

She expressed delight that TSA has gained International recognition as people voted massively from different parts of the world, for their preferred nominees in various categories.

Harry, observed that despite efforts by some unscrupulous persons to engage in unethical practices such as spamming and other malicious cyber activities, Trendsetters Awards, was able to tackle the challenges as they occurred.

She however, expressed concern that people could engage in such unethical practices just to win an award. She thanked participants for their patience during those periods when such attacks occurred and assured them of a hitch free process in 2023.

She congratulated those who were voted to receive the TSA Awards, and commended others who did not emerge victorious for making the list of nominees.

Stating further that ‘every nominee is a winner because they were chosen from a poll of individuals who are in the same field of endeavor as they are, but regrettably only one winner can emerge in each category.’

She expressed gratitude to God for the successful end of the voting phase and thanked her team for a job well done.
