Few days to the Governorship and State Assembly elections, African Democratic Congress, Zenith Labour Party and the Social Democratic Party, have joined forces with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress in Oyo state gubernatorial election on Saturday.
The parties signed an agreement to adopt the governorship candidate of the PDP, Mr Seyi Makinde, as the consensus candidate for Saturday’s governorship election.
The agreement was jointly signed on Monday and made public by the Campaign directors of PDP, Mr Bayo Lawal; ADC, Alhaji Bashiru Lawal; ZLP, Mr Waheed Akanbi; and the head, SDP campaign committee, M. A. Oke.
However, the governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy, Oyedele Alao, says he is not a party to the agreement, describing it as an unholy alliance.
