As residents of Rivers State prepare for the Yuletide, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Rivers command has disclosed that 3,500 officers will be deployed to flash points such as recreational and worship centres during the Christmas and New year celebration.
Briefing the media at NSCDC Command Headquarters in Rivers State, the NSCDC Commandant, CC Muktar Lawal, said the command is determined to curb the activities of miscreants during the festive season. Stating further that measures are also in place to ensure cases relating to fraud are tackled adequately.
Lawal expressed gratitude to the Commandant General of NSCDC, Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu, and the State Government for the support given to the State Command.
