A Customary Court in Lagos State has dissolved 22 year marriage over alleged threat to life.
Delivering the judgment on Tuesday, the President of the Customary Court, Mr Adegboyega Omilola said he was convinced that the couple could no longer live together due to irreconcilable issues and granted the wish of the petitioner, Yaya Mustapha, 67 to dissolve the marriage that had produced three children.
According to information made available to Africa Update, Mr. Mustapha had dragged his wife, Aduke Mustapha, 44, before the Igando Customary Court in Lagos for allegedly attempting to poison him several times in order to take possession of his property , and her extra marital affairs, but contrary to his accusation, the housewife and fashion designer accused her husband of purportedly pouring liquid substance which he claimed to be annoiting oil into her vagina before having sex with her. Stating further that when she queried his action he told her that it was to prevent his sudden death.
