The majority of the masses in Nigeria are the youth, we have the voting population and the voting power. The youths have to get involved in politics if we are to make a change in our country Nigeria. The youths excel in other areas of life like music and the movie industry but lack greatly in the area of leadership. its high time that the young people need to understand that we need to change this paradigms, instead of joining a political party and become tools in the hands of the old people use to oppress the poor.
2023 election cannot be business as usual, the poverty rate in Nigeria is rapidly increasing and the old leaders don’t care because to them it’s all just business. it is time for all the youths to come together and bring about that change of revolution. After the end SARS protest we expected an evolutional change, we expected the young people and all the youth leaders to come together as one voice and clean the soul of our nation, it’s time for us to bring about that transformation that we are looking for, If we get it right in 2023 by putting in the right leader, by 2035 Nigeria will be a First World Nation.
The Role of Mentorship
The role of mentorship is very important especially when it comes to bringing up the leaders of tomorrow, Mentorship is like a bridge between where you are and where you are going to. and for you to actually be involved in politics to bring about the change that we are looking for, you need to be mentored. Now the question is what kind of mentor?
If you look at the political leaders in power right now there are no role models, looking up to somebody is not someone who can talk and speaks fluently, but somebody who speaks the truth, someone who says and does not someone paints black as white. The truth is that how long can you deceive people, people know when you are saying the truth and when you are telling lies, and when you are passionate and you country. The problem is we are lacking Men and Women of integrity in our country Nigeria, and many of our young people find it hard to find a role model inside the government, because majority of our politicians and not truthful and they don’t have anything for the young people to emulate.
