As Rivers State continues to savour the unprecedented infrastructural development been laid by the State governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area of the State, Elder Clapton Ogolo says the work rate of the governor will attract multiple victories in subsequent elections both at the state and national levels.
Speaking in an interview shortly after Governor Wike commissioned the Opobo- Nkoro axis of the Ogoni-Andoni-Opobo-Nkoro Road on Saturday, Elder Ogolo said the completion of the road project was a reflection of the love the Governor has for the people of Opobo and Nkoro.
“This is a masterclass of a road. The joy of the people knows no bounds with the zeal and commitment which the Governor Wike exhibited in seeing to the completion of this all important road”, he said. Elder Ogolo, who is a former Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs in Rivers State said Opobo people will forever remain grateful to Governor Wike for the rare gift of “this quality road”.
“When Governor Wike promised to complete this road a few years ago, i knew he was going to deliver, having known his antecedents as a promse keeper. Today, he has shown Nigerians his quality as a man of great character, class and finesse, Elder Ogolo noted.
He further noted that with the quality of projects which the Governor has commissioned and new ones flagged off,the ground has been laid for the PDP in Rivers State and the entire country to reap electoral victories. “Wherever you go in Nigeria today, the discussion is about the transformation which Governor Wike has brought to Rivers State. He is been appreciated for being the beacon of projects execution in Nigeria.
The PDP chieftain assured Governor Wike of the steadfastness and support of the people for the party following his outstanding performance which he believes has left the opposition in a state of paranoid and despondency. It would be recalled that Governor Wike commissioned the Opobo/Nkoro axis of the Unity Road on Saturday to the delight of thousands of people.
