“We are poised to eradicate multiple taxation on our roads” ~ Chief Nnamdi Ogbogbo

It was a memorable event as members of Joint Mobile Sanitation Agency of Nigeria (JOMSAN) gathered at Green Minds Hotel Abuja to unveil ALGON SEAL for the year 2022 and to carry out the National Assembly directive to ALGON/NULGE as regards the menace of multiple taxation.

In his speech, the National President of JOMSAN, High Chief Nnamdi Ogbogbo JP called on the Federal, States, the Local Governments, Security Agencies, the Nigeria Police, the DSS, FRSC, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and the Nigeria Customs Service to join the agency in the war against multiple taxation and the blocking of federal highways in order to bring back sanity to our roads to ensure the ease of doing business in our country.

He said that the practice of stopping vehicles on the road in order to sell unapproved and fake clearance certificates will henceforth be a thing of the past and that the use of unauthorized associations to certify local government permits must also come to an end.

Chief Nnamdi Ogbogbo appealed to Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), the Bank of Industry, the Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME), the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), the Nigerian Employers Consultative Association (NECA), the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) and other private sector groups to sustain the ease of doing business in Nigeria.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of Board of Trustees of JOMSAN, Mr Godwin Dukeson advised members to go back to their local governments and carry out the activities of revenue generation diligently according to the law.
A stakeholder in the Mobile Advert Industry and the National Taskforce Commander, High Chief Igwe Omatoje advised members to avoid irregularities and do the right things. He said that it won’t be business as usual because the Taskforce will come after defaulters.
The National Treasurer of JOMSAN, Mr Dan Uzor in his Vote of thanks advised members not play politics with bitterness and that they should place their relationship with humans above their selfish interests. He also urged them to assist one another.

A representative of the Corps Marshal, Federal Roads Safety Corps, National Headquarters, Abuja, Deputy Corps Commander Ibrahim Abubakar Sadiq (D/C Evaluation and General Duties) described taxation as a veritable tool in any national economic and human development. He said in order to improve the ease of doing business, Nigerian roads should be sanitized. He assured members of JOMSAN the continuous partnership with FRSC in the fight against multiple taxation on Nigeria roads.
The epoch-making occasion ended after the formal unveiling of ALGON SEAL 2022 by the Chairman of Board of Trustees, Mr Godwin Dukeson. To God be the Glory!
