Some road users experienced heavy traffic jam today as some members of the Niger Delta Agitators staged a road block along the Mbiama axis of the East-west road in Ahoada West Local Government of Rivers state.
The Niger Delta Agitators under the third phase of the amnesty programme blocked the road in protest of their unpaid stipend by the Federal Government. The group demanded better welfare and development packages and called on the federal government to take immediate action to avoid a one week break down of law and order in the country.
