The Senate of the University of Port Harcourt has announced the immediate closure of the institution for 4 weeks following the bloody riot yesterday that led to the death of some students.  Deputy Registrars information,  Dr. William Wordi said the institution has resolved to suspend all student union activities and affiliate bodies  in the institution,  and directed all students to immediately vacate their hostel accommodation.
