The first female contender in the race to the blue chambers from Etche constituency II, just emerged. The contender, Mrs Uloma Nwuke Saya-Braide, appeared before caucus of Etche APC leadership with a strong message of hope for women. She presented swaying arguments in favor of the role of women in governance and nation building.
She argued that for any society to attain its full potential, it must harness the unique capabilities and resourcefulness of the women folk. She further buttressed the fact that women should be encouraged to contribute their quota in this political dispensation, stressing that it would be unfair to deny them participation based on gender.
She promised that if given opportunity to serve, she will bring her wealth of experience garnered from the world of business and finance, to ensure that she delivers quality representation to Etche people.
