The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the death of two persons at a shopping complex at Rumuodara Community in Obio/Akpo Local Government Area, of the state.
Confirming the incident to newsmen, the Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, said, the stampede occurred this morning, during the distribution of Christmas palliatives by a Non governmental organization. Africa Update, was however unable to ascertain the identities of the victims at the time of this report.
