Pandemonium broke on Friday at the popular oil mill junction, Â in Rivers State, when a truck crushed a bystander to death.
Africa update gathered that the unfortunate incident occurred when the brakes of the truck allegedly failed while descending the bridge.
Commercial bus drivers and passengers took to their heels but the victim, an unidentified male, could not hear the  alarm raised due to the earphone  he purportedly had on.
The truck reportedly crushed him, destroying shops and vehicles in the process, while about two others sustained injuries.
The driver of the truck, escaped in the midst of the confusion.
