Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria, FTAN, has marked the 43rd World Tourism Day, in Rivers State, with the appointment of Tom T. Inko-Tariah, as Rivers State membership secretary, as part of activities lined up for the day.
The inauguration of Inko-Tariah, was performed on October, 6th by Peter Ofuka, who is the South South Zonal Vice President of FTAN. Also present at the swearing ceremony was Mr John Kpai, the Rivers State Chairman of FTAN.
The Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN) is the Umbrella body that represents all the private sector in the Tourism industry in Nigeria. The Association was established in 1997 by the then Federal Ministry of Commerce and Tourism with a view to have easy liaison with the organized private sector in the Tourism and Culture sector in Nigeria.
The Association’s vision is to grow the domestic tourism market and to position Nigeria as the leading business tourist destination in West Africa.
