Rivers State Governor Chief Nyeson Wike’s Special Adviser, Hon. Victor Dennis Ekaro, has called on security chiefs in the state to ensure the safety of lives and property at Ihuwo community in Ahoada-East local government area.
Ekaro made the call on Sunday following the destruction of his seven room apartment on Saturday. Speaking further, he stressed that it was worrisome that his home was attacked less than 24 hours after suspected cultists invaded the community and murdered three youths, believed to be members of a rival cult group.
He said, “In the history of Ihuwo community, no such thing has happened before. This is the first time we saw that three youths were murdered in cold blood in this community by cultists.’’
He reiterated that with the recent attack, his life and those of his family were threatened.
