An Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, presided over by Magistrate H. O. Amos has fixed June 13 for facts and sentencing of Larry Osiobugie, 24, who allegedly stole N51,000 from  Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Victoria Island, Lagos, at two separate times in 2016.
The Prosecuting Counsel , Sgt.Tubi Olajide, had told the court that the accused had on March 30, broken into the church and stolen N10, 000 from the offertory box, and had broken  into the same church on May 30 and stolen N41, 000, amounting to N51,000.
The Magistrate had directed the Osiobugie be remanded in prison custody, Â sequel to his admittance of guilt.
The offences according ro reports,  contravened Sections 285 and 309 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011, with provisions for three years imprisonment according to Section 285 , while Section 309 stipulates a seven-year jail term for offenders.
The accused, Osiobugie, had pleaded guilty to a five-count charge bordering on burglary and stealing.
