A tanker fully loaded with diesel has somersaulted at Etals Avenue beside the first Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) area of Oregun Lagos, posing danger to lives and properties of local residents.
The diesel-filled bunker rolled back when it became clear that it could not survive the slope on the road, consequently discharging its content and causing spillage.
According to an eyewitness, the spillage has led to the obstruction of movement for buses and motorcycles as the road was blocked for safety reason.
The source lamented:”This is not the first time a taker will roll back on this slope but this is the first time a tanker is discharging its contents on the road – posing threats on lives and properties.

‘The said tanker came down this road empty but struggled to climb this same road as it was fully loaded with diesel.
” The eyewitness, who noted that that tankers come to the area empty but left fully loaded, called for full investigation by government and other security agencies.
He said: ”We believe there is a form of bunkery going on down that zone for years that needs to be investigated before the whole zone is burnt down with lives and assets.
”Several tankers go into this zone empty and come out full daily.
