A special Appeal panel handling the two-count charge of murder and conspiracy against the former chairman of Asari Toru  Local Government Area, in Rivers State, Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree has adjourned to July 4, 2016 for definite hearing of his bail application.
Lead judge of the three-man Appeal Panel, Justice Sidi Bage adjourned the matter following the request by the Counsel to the  Rivers State Government, Godwin Obla, SAN, for time to respond to the bail application filed by counsel to Hon. Amachree, Sebastian Hon, SAN.
The three man special Appeal Panel drawn from Lagos, Ekiti, and Plateau states, Â which include Justice Sidi Badge, Justice Lukolo Sodipe and Justice Adimu Jauro will decide on the bail application filed by Sebastian Hon, SAN, requesting for the release of his client , currently in prison custody, whose health is deteriorating .
Speaking to newsmen after the court sitting, Godwin Obla, SAN, lawyer to the state said he was yet to serve the counter affidavits to the bail application.
Sebastian Hon, Counsel  to Ojukaye flag Amachree, however said he had already served the Rivers State government and expects that the court will hear the bail application on the next adjourned date.
