It was a tragic day for members of the Njoku family, in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, when their son, Mbuchi Njoku was allegedly murdered on the day his father, Chief Sunday Njoku was buried.
This incident has led to series of accusations and petitions about suspects who might have links with the gruesome murder.
Sometime last week, a petition allegedly wrttien by Umuebulu Council of chief and Traditional Rulers, dated 8th May, 2017, and addressed to the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, had accused a lawmaker, Hon. Tony Ejiogu of being behind crisis that led to the murder of Njoku.
Reacting to this petiton, signed by about 60 people, Elder John Nwafor, whose name was listed as number 34, has denied any knowledge of the said petiton, alleging that Mr. Daniel Njoku had connived with Hon. Ejiogu to cause mayhem in the community.
He threatened to take legal action against anyone who links him with any petiton.
Recall that the media had published the petition allegedly signed by stakeholders from the community.
Below is a copy of the controversial petiton.
