The Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral (Rtd) Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas CFR, has announced the appointment of Professor Ibibia Lucky Worika as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG), effective immediately, Africa Update has gathered.
According to the Administrator, Professor Worika’s selection followed a comprehensive and rigorous process that carefully evaluated his extensive and distinguished background. This includes significant experience within academia, a notable career in international legal practice, and substantial involvement in high-level policy advisory capacities.
The Administrator emphasized that this strategic appointment aligns directly with the overarching objective of fostering enduring peace, stability, and security within Rivers State, consistent with the mandate entrusted to him by the President. Professor Worika’s diverse expertise is expected to be a valuable asset in navigating the current complexities and advancing the state’s interests.
