The National caucus, BoT and the Governors’ Forum are set to find a lasting solution to the leadership impasse bedeviling the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) tonight in Abuja.
The feud between the two gladiators jostling for the leadership of the leading opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seem to have taken a melodramatic stances, earlier in the day, as youths loyal to  Senator Ahmed Makarfi stormed the party Secretariat to sack Senator Ali Modu Sherrif , less than  two days after he took over  the PDP National Secretariat along with his loyalists to impose himself as National Chairman.
The group of youths under the aegis of PDP Concerned Rescue Group and PDP National Rebirth Group‎ invaded the party premises on Wednesday morning and sealed off the party’s Secretariat and handed over  the keys to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), Senator Walid Jibrin.
On his part, Sheriff condemned the invasion, describing it as acts of hooliganism and brigandage in a statement released by his media aide, Mallam Inuwa Bwala.
He called on his supporters to remain calm and law-abiding in the face of the provocations and implored security agencies to avoid taking sides in political matters.
However, another  group of youth descended on the secretariat,  and destroyed the padlock, and gained access to the premises in the full view of the police stationed nearby.
According to eyewitnesses, once the youth broke through the gate they began singing solidarity songs in support of. Sheriff. Both youth groups have vowed to occupy the secretariat offices until Thursday.
