Rivers State Government has cleared the air on what business outfits have been shutdown in the state, following the outbreak of the coronavirus.
Commissioner for Information and Communications, Paulinus Nsiirm, says the State Governor, Nyesom Wike, did not shutdown supermarkets, banks or shops but announced the closure of markets across the State.
He said the clarification has become necessary, due to misinterpretation of the directives of the State Government and reported cases of harassment by law enforcement agencies and some unscrupulous individuals.
