The newly designed Naira notes, on Wednesday, surfaced online ahead of the unveiling announced by the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.
Africa had earlier reported that the President Muhammadu Buhari, would on Wednesday unveil the new notes at the Villa.
The newly designed naira notes to be unveiled are N1,000, N500 and N200 notes.
According to the governor, the apex bank would not move the January 31, 2023 deadline for all old notes to be deposited to commercial banks.
The official photographer of the president, Bayo Omoboriowo, posted the picture of the redesigned notes on his social media handles.
