Rotary Club of Port Harcourt, Â Garden City in partnership with SERWAH Rural Health Initiative have provided free screening for HIV/AIDS, Â Hepatitis B, Diabetes Mellitus and Blood pressure check to over 400 beneficiaries at Mile 1 diobu, in Rivers State.
Speaking to journalists on the essence of the medical outreach, Â the club president, Â Rtn. Â Gloria Bona Harry disclosed that the partnership became necessary due to the increasing rate of mortality as a result of irregular medical checkups.
She said the club decided to bring health care to the doorsteps of citizens,  in line with the 2016/2017 Rotary theme, which has mandated Rotarians all over the world to serve humanity, and urged  citizens to always seek medical care to avert stroke and other health complications.
Drugs were also distributed to beneficiaries.
