Rtn Precious Werner Ovie-Oyubu, is now the 9th President of the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Garden City. The installation ceremony which took place at Rachael Hotels on Sunday, August 22, 2021, also witnessed the induction of the 2021- 2022 Board of Directors.
The new Board comprise of the following – Soton-Ibi Tariah – Immediate Past President, Timi Bubagha – Vice President \ Treasurer, Karina Igonikon – Secretary, Past President Pedro Opuene – Membership Chair, Past President Monica Ogwa – Foundation Chair, Past President Tonye Nria Dappa – Club Trainer, Past President Biokpo Joshua West – Club Admin, Past President Gloria Boma Harry – Project Service Director, and Edward Samuel – Image Director.
High point of the installation was the presentation of a lecture – protecting the environment to grow the local economy; focus on the Niger Delta presented by Dr. Frank Ibani-Briggs and the presentation of awards to Dr. Frank Ibanibo Briggs, Assistant Governor Ibimina Amachree, Past Assistant Governor Hamilton Odum, Timi Bubagha, Past PresidentTamunoisela George Toby, Past President Tonye Nria- Dappa, and Past President Monica ogwa.
While Uzonwanne Jessica Ijeoma, Akpan Ubang Amos, Inemi Erete Stephen, Ineba Fisisi, and Dr. Atamuno Atanumo were inducted into the club, Past Assistant Governor Tony Eteng, Assistant Governor Adaure Odu, Assistant Governor Blessing Timothy were at the event.
