Rivers State: Oyigbo youths give Fulani herdsmen 72hours to vacate, following murder of two farmers

Two people are now feared dead following an attack by suspected fulani herdsmen at Afam uku community in Oyigbo and Tai  Local Government Areas in Rivers State.

The herdsmen had allegedly invaded a farm at Afam uku, where a man and his wife were. An argument had  ensued and the farmer was reportedly killed while his wife was taken hostage.

The herdsmen had attempted to escape through the neighboring ogoni community in Tai, where they also killed another farmer and his wife was taken away.

Our source said, the wife was able to escape from her captors and reported the incident to members of Afam uku community.

Meanwhile,  Oyigbo Youth Leaders Forum has described the attack which took place on Thursday as barbaric and has given fulani herdsmen 72 hours to vacate the area or face dire consequences.
