Rivers State: Obio-akpor evicts Special Anti-Robbery Squad

The Obio-Akpor Local government Council, has evicted the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, from their command at the Obio-Akpor International Market, Rukpokwu area of Rivers State.

Sources revealed that the office was given to SARS by former Chairman of Obio-Akpor Local government, Timothy Nsirim, but the council had given them one month to vacate the property to allow for major renovation work on the property.

The notice which was signed by the legal Adviser of the council, Victor Owhonda Wokem, stated that they have to vacate the premises on or before the 30th of November, 2017.

The Rivers state government, the Inspector General of Police and the Rivers State Commissioner of Police were copied .
